UNIQLO at Disney Springs closes again after surge in Florida’s COVID-19 cases

UNIQLO appears to be the first store in Disney Springs to close its doors again, facing the record breaking daily confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Florida. Upon its reopening in May, the store had made changes to accommodate for social distancing, increased cleaning procedures, and kept its fitting rooms closed.

No official statement has been released by the company, but they are no longer posting hours on their site for the location, and the “Sorry, We are Closed” window stickers are back up on the glass doors.

This news comes at the same time that Jock Lindsay’s The Hangar Bar was forced to close after one day of being open, alongside Dockside Margaritas. Today Governor Desantis issued a mandate suspending the consumption of alcohol in all bars across Florida.

There is no telling what this could mean for other third party Disney Springs stores, as the number of COVID-19 cases continue to rise. We hope to hear more from Uniqlo regarding its plans as Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom still prepare to open on July 11th.
